• How do I become a contestant of the "Online Showdown" singing contest?

Becoming a contestant of "Online Showdown" is easy. All you need to do is upload a video clip of your singing performance and submit for the contest . Please note you will have to register as member before you can enter a contest.

No, participation in the contest is absolutely FREE for everyone.

• Who can participate as a contestant?

Entry to the contest is open to anyone 14 years or older as of the entry date.

• Is there any prize money?

There will be great prizes to WIN time to time, please watch out the homepage for the competition prizes! Participation in the contests will also provide you with the opportunity to shine and showcase your singing ability to thousands of viewers worldwide. Maybe even grab the attention of juggernauts in the music industry to sign up for a recording contract!

• I getting an error message when I try to upload my video to my profile?

For any technical query please use the “Contact Us” section of the website and let us know the problem, we try our best to deliver an excellent customer service so you should hear back from us within 24 hours.

• What type of video formats do you support?

You should be able to upload most video types like avi, wmv, xvid, divx flv and some more. If you have problem with uploading video, please contact us we will help you.

• What is the maximum size of each video file

Each video size MUST be 20MB or less, this is due to the high uses of the bandwidth and we will review this time to time.

• What’s the quickest and easiest way to get my video performance uploaded?

The quickest and easiest way to upload your video is to use a web cam and upload the video through the upload feature available under the "My Profile" menu.

• How many times can I upload a new video clip/picture to replace an old one if I am unhappy with it?

You can upload your video/picture an unlimited number of times to replace your old one BUT you can not change your video once submitted for the competition.

• After the contest starts, can I upload a new video performance to be judged on?

No, once the contest starts you won't be able to change the video. But you may enter a new video in the next month's contest.

• As a contestant, can I vote?

Yes, evey user can vote once for each video in contest.

• Can I upload any type of singing videos for contest?

Absolutely, as long as it is followed by our “Terms & Conditions” & “Competition Rules”. You can upload either SOLO or GROUP performances for our contest.

• When does the Online Singing Contest start?

"Singing Competitions" starts each month. Contestants will have to upload their video to participate in that month's contest.

• Can I have music in the background when I record my singing performance?

You cannot have any vocal background music, we do allow the instrumental version of the song for you to sing along with as long as the music volume is turned down enough so we can hear your voice clearly , we do allow instruments playing in your video but will have to be played by yourself. If you're using any musical instrument then we require you to show this on your video performance. You also CAN NOT mime to a background music and record a video. Anybody who breaches these rules would be deleted from our contests immediately.
